A local tech firm is receiving a little under $100,000 dollars to expand its market outside North America.
St. John’s-based Avalon Holographics has developed what is being called the “world’s first” natural 3D commercial holographic displays.
The technology expands how users interact with multi-dimensional information and is used in the med-tech, defence, and aerospace sectors.
The province is providing $98,252 to develop a market outside of the U.S. and Canada. The support will also help strengthen a collaboration with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
The company employs more than 50 people in the province.
