A woman is in the Lockup after a police officer was assaulted during an incident in Conception Bay South.

It happened over the lunch hour yesterday. The 43-year-old has been charged with assault, property damage to a police vehicle, resisting arrest and three counts of assaulting a police officer.

She will make a court appearance today.
