Organizers of the Every Moment Matters Campaign in support of the Lionel Kelland Hospice have announced a significant donation from Grand Falls-Windsor native Brendan Paddick and his wife Renee Vedd-Paddick.
Lionel Kelland Hospice is close to reaching its goal of completing the province’s very first community-based hospice.
Chair of the Every Moment Matters Campaign, Shelley Woolfrey, says they are grateful for the donation, while the Paddicks themselves, say they are excited to be contributing to such a great cause.
In a video message, Brendan Paddick explained his sentimental connection to the centre.
He said his mother was a pediatric nurse, and the family often joked that they never knew who she was going to bring home from the hospital for the weekend.
For that and so many other reasons, the family is excited to welcome residents, caregivers ands the community to the Lionel Kelland Hospice.
