The Newfoundland Growlers are now playing the first six games of the season out of the Conception Bay Arena.
The team had to suddenly shift to Toronto after St. John’s Sports and Entertainment suspended them from the Mary Brown’s Arena, with the Maple Leafs affiliate, the Toronto Marlies offering the ECHL franchise the use of the Coca Cola Coliseum.
Shortly after issuing a release indicating that Deacon Sports and Entertainment had served Notice of Default under the existing lease with St. John’s Sports and Entertainment, the operators of what was formerly known as Mile One – the team announced that it will play its first six home games of the season in CBS.
