Premier Andrew Furey is in Scotland as part of the Canadian delegation to the United Nations Climate Change Conference.
The Premier tweeted out this morning that all citizens have a role to play in combatting climate change.
He claims Newfoundland and Labrador is well-positioned to continue the transition to cleaner energy with its renewable resources.
Premier Furey also had the opportunity to meet with Prime Minister Trudeau, discussing the environmental goals of both governments.
Our government is focused on innovation, electrification, and supporting our offshore industry at this time of transition. Today at #COP26 Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau and I spoke about our continued work – together – to lower emissions and grow the green economy. pic.twitter.com/2dJtH7feDu
