Eastern Health has issued an outline of the services affected by a systems outage caused by what appears to be a cyber attack.
Emergency services only will proceed today and tomorrow, and patients who have not been contacted directly, should assume that their appointments have been cancelled.
Appointments are not being rescheduled and patients will be contacted directly once the IT system outage is resolved.
Patients with questions about their scheduled appointments, procedures and surgeries can call a temporary patient inquiries at 1-833-777-1276.
In-person dialysis is still going ahead, as are community-based services including home support, special assistance and direct home services. Mental health and addictions community counselling services are continuing as are all flu and COVID vaccine clinics.
Maternal-fetal assessment unit appointments are also going ahead.
Residents of the Burin Peninsula who require retesting for COVID-19 due to the cluster in the Marystown area, and who are not already booked should call 277-0624 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. to book a testing appointment.
