The House of Assembly has passed a resolution requiring all MHAs be fully vaccinated.

The move is in line with the mandatory vaccination policy announced for all public service employees last month.

MHAs are not captured under that policy due to parliamentary privilege. Essentially, that means the House has exclusive control over its proceedings, and only the house itself can place limits on access.

All members must be fully vaccinated by December 17, unless the member obtains a medical exemption.
