A 37-year-old woman is dead following a vehicle-pedestrian collision on the Veteran’s Memorial last night.

Police were called to the scene near Bay Roberts last night around 9 p.m. The victim was found dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

The incident forced the temporary closure of the highway as emergency crews and investigators attended the scene.

The investigation continues.
