Students and staff at Brother Rice Junior High were evacuated due to a fire.

During fourth period, a small fire broke out in one of the student bathrooms.

The fire was extinguished quickly by school staff and the fire department confirmed the building was clear for reentry.

Classes will continue as normal for the remainder of the day.
