Canada Post says it is continuing to work on short and long term solutions to providing local postal services to the town of Spaniard’s Bay.

Canada Post received the sudden notice of closure of the local outlet, located in a private convenience store, last week and began working on contingencies.

The corporation says service had to be temporarily shifted to Harbour Grace after a long-term solution did not materialize last week as they had hoped.

Canada Post assures residents of Spaniard’s Bay that it is “exhausting all options to resume regular service as quickly as possible.”
