Three of four people accused of kidnapping someone for ransom will make their bids for bail today.
The four, including 35-year-old Philip Pynn, were in a car that was pulled over late Monday on Oliver’s Pond Road where Pynn has been living since his most recent release from jail. Also in the car, police say, was 27-year-old man, who was allegedly abducted about an hour earlier.
The four were arrested without incident and charged with kidnapping and extortion.
Pynn, who already has more than a hundred convictions on his record, was also charged with breaching probation and court conditions.
The others charged were 40-year-old Jeff Aylward, 38-year-old Joe Aylward, and 33-year-old Theresa Lynn O’Grady—the only one of the three to be released so far.
Bail hearings are set for later this morning in provincial court.
No details were provided on the condition of the man who was allegedly kidnapped.
