Newfoundland T’Railway Council has been busy over the last year completing some significant upgrades to bridges across the province.
President Rick Noseworthy says they have been busy over the last two years repairing various bridges across the province.
He says crews are still out working, hoping to complete their last bridges for the season within the next week or so. So far this year, they’ve completed work on 22 bridges.
Noseworthy says the two bridges left to be done are important ones in the Port Blandford area. He says the work is very expensive and these aren’t small bridges.
In the last two years they have repaired a total of 36 bridges.
