The Francophone School Board has announced the departure of Kim Christianson who held the position of Director of Education/CEO for just over five years.
Chair of the Conseil scolaire francophone provincial Michael Clair says under Christianson’s leadership, a Strategic Plan was brought in that “has produced remarkable results.”
Federal funding for the CSFP has increased by half a million dollars a year since 2017, and a second school is in the works in the St. John’s area.
Christianson came under fire earlier this year after media reports of excessive travel spending.
Christianson says the pandemic caused her to rethink her choices, and she decided to return home to her family.
She will take over as CEO of the Centre for Leadership and Evaluation, which is dedicated to the development and growth of the Canadian Francophonie.
