Changes to Public Health guidance has resulted in some recent school closures in the province.
The public health guidance includes people identified as close contacts of positive cases or anyone who has potentially been exposed to the virus.
Close contacts have been asked to self-isolate for seven days after the date of potential exposure – even if fully vaccinated.
That’s affecting operations at Frank Roberts Junior High, Gander Academy, Gander elementary and JM Olds Collegiate in Twillingate.
The English School District is trying to determine where the changes are specific to particular circumstances, or if they apply generally going forward.
