A 59-year-old man has been charged following an incident in Mount Pearl on Saturday.

At approximately, 3:15 p.m. officers arrived at a residence following a report of a disturbance.

Officers located the man, who appeared to have injured himself.

After an ambulance arrived, the man became aggressive, assaulting a paramedic.

The man was arrested and charged with assault and breach of a release order.

He was held to appear in court.
