Philip Pynn has been released on bail again.
Pynn was freed late this afternoon after he secured two sureties, or two people willing to put up cash that they could lose if he doesn’t follow conditions of his release.
Pynn and three others were arrested two weeks ago, accused of kidnapping a man for ransom.
The four, including 35-year-old Pynn, were in a car that was pulled over late on the night of Dec. 6 on Oliver’s Pond Road, where Pynn had been living since his most recent release from jail.
Also in that car was a 27-year-old man who police say was abducted about an hour earlier. It’s believed the man was not injured.
The four were arrested without incident and charged with kidnapping and extortion.
Pynn, who has spent most of his adult life in jail, was also charged with breaching probation and court conditions, which he’s been convicted of numerous times before.
Others charged and already released in the current case include 40-year-old Jeff Aylward, 38-year-old Joe Aylward, and 33-year-old Theresa Lynn O’Grady.
All four are due back in court on January 13th.
