The city of St. John’s is investigating what its calling a “significant” water main break.
The break is in the area of Brookfield Road near Perlin Street, and is affecting a wide area including Cowan Heights. Area residents noticed a sudden loss of water pressure between 3:30 and 4:00 this afternoon.
Crews are investigating and trying to isolate the exact location of the break. An update will be provided when more information is available.
