A 65-year old man, pulled over near York Harbour for speeding, is now under investigation for drug-impaired driving.
Corner Brook RCMP pulled the man’s pickup truck over after it was spotted driving 94 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.
The driver tested positive for cannabis on roadside drug screening.
He was taken to hospital, where blood samples were taken.
Police are awaiting the results to determine if drug impaired driving charges are appropriate.
The man, who was ticketed for speeding, had his truck seized and his license was suspended.
