Two men from Old Perlican have been charged with drug trafficking following a suspected overdose death in a home in Victoria in October of 2020.

Emergency responders were called to the home where a woman was found unresponsive. The woman was taken away for treatment but died in hospital.

Evidence in the home indicated that the woman likely experienced a drug overdose.

A lengthy police investigation has led to charges against 45-year-old Sean Layman and 27-year-old Greg Kelly.

Both men are facing charges of trafficking in cocaine and trafficking in methamphetamine. They are scheduled to appear in Harbour Grace provincial court on February 9.
