The City of Mount Pearl is preparing for the force of the Omicron variant by getting ahead of it both practically and fiscally.
The city dropped its budget earlier this year, equipped with room to maneuver should measures need to be taken to combat the variant.
Mayor Dave Aker says they are preparing for it responsibly.
He says they know it’s coming and they’re gearing up for it, both with their budget and in readiness, should they have to pivot on a moments notice.
