The provincial government is shifting its big game licence application process to a primarily online service beginning in the new year.
The Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture says the move will help hunters by allowing the application process to open earlier, improve processing times and allow applications to be monitored online.
Big game application and draw result notifications will be issued via email rather than through Canada Post.
Those who do not yet have an online account will receive detailed instructions by regular mail early in the new year. Applications can be completed and submitted online beginning in mid-February.
