Metrobus is moving to a reduced schedule on January 3, thanks to changes imposed following a surge in COVID cases.
Metrobus says with most schools moving to virtual learning and more people working from home, the Metrobus schedule will be reduced to what General Manager Judy Powell describes as essentially a summer schedule.
The new Zip Network, which would have seen more frequent bus service on certain routes and set to start early in the new year, will be postponed until bus services are fully restored.
In addition, the passenger limit on buses has been reduced to nineteen. Riders experiencing symptoms or who have been advised to self-isolate or be tested are being asked not to ride the buses.
