No one from this province made the cut for the latest appointments to the Order of Canada.
The 135 names were announced on Wednesday by Rideau Hall.
They include former Senator Murray Sinclair, who chaired the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, gold-medal sprinter Bruny Surin, and Ed Ratushny, who was senior counsel to the Lamer Inquiry into three wrongful murder convictions in this province.
Newfoundland and Labrador was not alone in coming up empty. New Brunswick was also shut out this time around.
#GGSimon is proud to announce the appointment of 2 Companions, 39 Officers and 94 Members to the #OrderOfCanada.
