People across the province can now begin applying for domestic woodcutting permits through the provincial government’s online portal – MyGovNL.

The permits are for those who wish to cut wood for personal use this year.

Through the portal, users can access information about domestic cutting areas, regulations, and safety information.

As well, permit holders can change and add up to 10 helpers who can cut wood on their behalf.

The fee for a permit is $25, the fee for those 65 and older is $16.25.
