St, John’s Mayor Danny Breen admits 2021 was a challenging year for the city, thanks to the ongoing pandemic situation.
Breen says while they’ve been able to get through the past year, it’s been difficult to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of the pandemic.
He says many industries have not recovered.
He says the tourism market, ridership on metrobus, and parking revenues are all down, and there has been a lack of activity at the Convention Centre and Mary Brown’s Centre.
He says while there have been challenges, they have been able to keep most of their services active, and they will get through the next wave.
