A 20-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after an incident in the east end of St. John’s Saturday night.

At around 9:45 p.m. police responded to a call for assistance.

Upon arrival, an officer was assaulted.

The woman was charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.

She was held to appear in court.
