The number of COVID-related hospitalizations is rising even as new confirmed case counts drop.
There are 15 people in hospital with the virus, three of whom are in ICU.
There are 239 new confirmed cases of COVID in the province today: 172 in Eastern Health, 39 in Central Health, 25 in Western and one in Labrador-Grenfell Health. There are two more cases as the result of private testing.
With 416 recoveries, there are 5,325 active cases in the province.
Officials also announced today that Newfoundland and Labrador will remain in Alert Level 4 until January 24th, when it will again be reviewed.
