A Newfoundlander has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Nasdaq and will head up the company’s Anti-Financial Crime business.
Jamie King, the President and CEO of Verafin, the St. John’s-based company he founded in 2003, will take over the new role on April 3.
The news was announced this morning following the retirement of Nasdaq’s Executive Vice President for Market Technology, Lars Ottersgård.
Nasdaq acquired Verafin in the fall of 2020 for US 2.75 billion dollars.
