Another honour for the province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health who has navigated Newfoundland and Labrador through the COVID pandemic.

Queen’s College, Faculty of Theology, has named Dr. Janice Fitzgerald as this year’s recipient of an Honourary Doctorate.

Fitzgerald will be bestowed with the Doctor of Canon Law degree at the College’s next convocation on May 12, 2022.

The honourary doctorate is being bestowed in recognition of Fitzgerald’s ongoing service to the province, and for being “a beacon of hope to people in the midst of crisis.”
