The Canadian Coast Guard is advising that icebreaking operations will be taking place near Botwood tomorrow,

The icebreaker will be leaving an open water track behind it as it moves.

People out on the ice are asked to stay a safe distance away to avoid falling into the water. The coast guard says cracks caused by the machine can extend quite a ways away from the vessel itself.
