We’re still in the dead of winter, but the city of St. John’s is already looking ahead to this summer and their annual parklet program.
The program allows businesses to build outdoor decks on the roadside to be used from May 20 to October 31.
Areas included in the program include the downtown and Churchill Square.
This year’s program will extend west to include areas of LeMarchant Road and Military Road.
After a vote at today’s city council meeting, if approved, the city will begin advertising the program.
