The RNC has arrested a 27-year-old St. John’s man on a list of drug trafficking and weapons offences.

Brandon Tobin was arrested on Monday. Items seized from a St. John’s residence as the result of a search warrant included a handgun, ammunition, a half a kilogram of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Tobin is facing a charge of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and a lengthy list of weapons charges. They include; careless use of a firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, and a variety of charges related to the unauthorized possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have further information to assist their investigation to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
