The family of a well-known Open Line caller is thanking the public for their support following Maurice Budgell’s recent passing.
The long-time Liberal passed away last week due to complications from open-heart surgery.
His granddaughter Hilary England says Budgell, an active member of the Salvation Army in King’s Point, had quite a send-off.
(His funeral service went 2 hours and 15 minutes, and was “exactly what he would have wanted.”)
England told VOCM Open Line with Tim Powers she’s proud of her grandfather’s contributions and his legacy.
