A local non-profit organization is preparing for a neighbourhood summit, with the goal of improving the day-to-day lives of residents.
Happy City St. John’s is hosting its third bi-annual neighbourhood summit this coming week, tackling the use of active transportation, presenting the results of a public transit survey, and exploring the housing experiences of newcomers and international students.
Chair Debbie Wiseman says “urban connectivity” takes shape in many ways, from how you get to the grocery store, going for a walk with your children, getting to feel like part of the neighbourhood, up to working with municipal governments to get things done.
The Summit is being held Saturday, April 30 at the ALT Hotel at 125 Water Street, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Registration is available online.
