Labrador-Grenfell Health is soon offering COVID booster shots for teens aged 12 to 17 through the school system.
Twenty-two weeks must have passed since the last COVID shot in order for a student to be eligible for a booster dose.
If a student is unable to receive the booster during the scheduled school dates, appointments can be booked online or through the local Public Health office starting May 16.
Meanwhile, a second booster dose of the COVID vaccine is now available to those 70 and older, those living in a seniors, long-term care or personal care home, and anyone 18 and older who identify as Indigenous or who live in remote or isolated communities.
