Broad Cove in Conception Bay North will be the location of a Come Home celebration this summer with a special focus.

The Come Home Queer Cultural Festival is scheduled for July 15th to the 17th featuring live music, storytelling, dancing and food, culminating in a Pride Parade.

Jane Walsh says there was a time when “leaving Newfoundland wasn’t a decision, it was a given.” Walsh now splits her time between Ontario and Broad Cove and says the festival highlights and signals a new era of safety, comfort and welcoming.

The festival will feature artists such as Kellie Loder, Eva Crocker, Zay Nova and Susie Taylor among others.
