Construction of the new Mental Health and Addictions facility to replace the Waterford Hospital is on schedule.
On Tuesday, government revealed some of the designs for the new building in a mock-up area that’s being used for staff and stakeholder feedback.
The installation of structural steel, concrete floor slabs, mechanical and electrical rough-in, and exterior walls is currently happening at the site.
Transportation and infrastructure minister Elvis Loveless says everything is going according to plan so far. He says everything is on time and on budget and he is looking forward to the grand opening in late 2024.
