One unoccupied seasonal home was destroyed, and another received exterior heat damage following a fast-moving brush fire in Brigus yesterday afternoon.
Local firefighters, assisted by a provincial water bomber, were called to the scene yesterday afternoon in the area of Frog Marsh in Brigus.
Smoke from the fire could be seen spread over a wide area of Conception Bay. There were no injuries.
Meanwhile, several homes had to be evacuated on Harbour Drive in Harbour Main around the same time yesterday. The fire was extinguished with the help of a water bomber. There were no injuries or loss of property in that blaze.
The cause of both fires is under investigation.
