The Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra is switching up its style.
The NSO will be taking on country with their “Wildflowers: Celebrating the Women of Country” concert this weekend.
Every year, the NSO does a popular music series, and this year they’re taking on a new challenge with an all-female lineup playing hits from Dolly Parton to Shania Twain and Taylor Swift.
The show will feature special guests Mallory Johnson, LadyLike and Flower Hill
NSO CEO Hugh Donnan gives a sneak peek at what to expect.
He says they have a beautiful atmosphere with great sightlines for all seats. There will also be bar and food services, and Quidi Vidi Brewery will hold a beer tasting. He says it’s different from anything you’d expect from the NSO.
The event takes place Saturday night at the Jack Byrne Regional Sport and Entertainment Centre. Tickets can be purchased online.
