Our two provincial police forces are celebrating National Police Week.
The week is an awareness campaign promoting new connections in the communities they serve.
The RNC is focusing on the connection between the police and Canadians, and the importance of understanding each other’s challenges. They say “true understanding” means the elimination of assumptions and attitudes, and making way for constructive conversations.
RNC chief Patrick Roche says the RNC community is continuing to evolve, and the future of the organization is built and nurtured every day through their relationships with people and communities.
RCMP are also marking the week with activities.
