There has been a big drop in the price of most fuels in most areas of the province.
Oil has gone down by about $10 a barrel over the last week or so, prompting the move. Prices wouldn’t normally change until Friday.
The Public Utilities Board has jumped in and lowered the maximum price of gasoline by almost 7 cents per litre, and diesel by 9 1/2 cents.
Furnace oil costs about 8 cents per litre less, but there is little to no change in the price of propane used for home heat.
