Basketball is back in the capital city beginning tomorrow night.
Growlers Basketball is kicking off its inaugural season with a home game against the defending CEBL champions, the Edmonton Stingers.
Head Coach Patrick Ewing Jr. describes the league as a “great high-level quality of basketball.”
Something that differentiates the CEBL from other leagues, says Ewing, is the way the game ends.
He says every game ends with something called an ELAM ending, which is a game-winning shot.
Ewing says that could be a lay-up, a free throw, a dunk, and more. He says it brings back the feeling of playing basketball in the park with friends.
The Growlers’ first game of the season is tomorrow at 7:30 at the MUN Field House.
