The town of Paradise has given the all clear after a situation yesterday resulted in 19 homes being evacuated.

Thursday afternoon some residents reported a smell of gas in their homes, and crews soon discovered fuel in the storm sewer.

The town says crews were able to isolate the incident, resolving it by vacuuming and flushing the sewer.

They say some residents may still notice a smell in their homes, but that will dissipate naturally over time and does not present any safety concerns.

Workers remained on site last night to monitor the situation.
