Two RCMP officers were in the right place at the right time to save a life in Port aux Basques over the past weekend.
Around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, while on patrol on Caribou Road, Constables Hunter and McCarron were flagged down by a woman whose husband was choking and unable to breathe. The two officers were able to dislodge the food item blocking the man’s airway.
The man made a full recovery and did not require any further medical assistance.
