Government House will be open to the public today to mark the Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebration weekend.
The Queen is celebrating 70 years as Monarch, making her the longest-reigning sovereign.

96-year-old Queen Elizabeth stepped out onto the balcony at Buckingham Palace to throngs of well-wishers yesterday.
A number of events and commemorations are planned throughout the Commonwealth to mark the historic occasion.
Government House in St. John’s will hold an Open House today from 2 to 4 p.m. as part of the celebrations.
