The East Coast Trail Association is celebrating International Trails Day today with its annual fundraising hike.
The association is celebrating the completion of the new Northern section, announced in May.
The community hike will leave Portugal Cove-St. Phillips, with provincial tourism minister Steve Crocker, Avalon MP Ken McDonald, ExxonMobil Canada president Lazaro Cosma and others speaking at the event.
A post-hike celebration will take place at Brookside Intermediate with lunch, live music, and a prize draw taking place.
