It was a successful weekend for the province’s U15 and U16 soccer teams at the Atlantic championships in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
Both of this province’s boys teams captured gold.
The U15 team went undefeated with four straight wins, while the U16 team’s only blemish was a tie, in addition to its three wins.
The U15 girls team took bronze with a 3-2 win over Nova Scotia, while the U16 team placed fourth with a 2-2 record.
The Atlantic U13 and U14 championships are set for July 7-10.
The girls’ competition will take place in St. John’s, while the boys will compete in P.E.I.
