Metro police encountered a pair of men resisting arrest in separate incidents Friday night.
Around 8:00 p.m., police spotted a man with an outstanding arrest warrant while patrolling downtown. The 23-year-old man fled, but after a brief foot chase, police took the man into custody in the Water Street area. He is facing charges of resisting arrest and breaches of a release and probation order.
Just under two hours later, police were called to a disturbance in Kilbride, where police attempted to arrest a 53-year-old man for breaching his court orders. The man resisted arrest before police took him into custody where he was transported to the lock-up. While in custody, the man assaulted two correctional officers and is now facing charges of breach of court order, resisting arrest, and assaulting officers.
