Exploits MHA Pleaman Forsey says a steady succession of emergency room closures throughout the Central Health region is causing a great deal of problems for area residents.
Staffing issues have forced numerous temporary closures at ERs including Harbour Breton, Fogo, New-Wes-Valley, Springdale and Buchans.
He says Health Minister Tom Osborne needs to make the issue—which is nothing new to the region—a priority.
He says it seems as if there’s no real action to recruit doctors and other workers to keep these facilities open.
