Changes are coming to COVID booster eligibility.

The province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Janice Fitzgerald, has scheduled a news conference for 12 noon on Wednesday to discuss the changes and answer questions from the media.

Fitzgerald is also expected to address concerns around the spread of the latest subvariant of COVID-19.

VOCM News will be there, and air the news conference at 12:30 p.m., immediately following the News at Noon.

Meanwhile, Western Health has announced some changes to the booking process and locations to receive COVID booster vaccines.

Online booking is now available for vaccine appointments in Corner Brook, Stephenville and Port aux Basques.
